I got out really early this morning. George was heading out to the mountains and I went out right after he left. He gave me his headlamp that is super strong to use and it worked really well. I didn't feel skiddish at all while running. Since it was so dark and I had his headlamp on, I was thinking about what it must be like running a 100 miler at night when you are by yourself.
The air was cool and crisp, the sky clear and I was feeling grateful. I realized I love these peaceful morning runs and felt thankful for so much in my life. Gazing up to the sky, the sliver of the moon, the stars and the outline of the trees...so very thankful.
I saw one little scareddy cat. It was totally Halloween like and he was more frightened by me than me of him. I got in 4 miles and thought back to the early days training for B2B my first real race and I would think that was a big run. I thought for a bit it would be a nice day for a sick day and to continue on running, but figured the sun would soon be up and the world wouldn't be only mine.
It feels like the rest of the day will be a good one. I hope you enjoy it!
Keep dreaming!

Hurray for a happy early morning run. And yes, we all have much to be thankful for, don't we? I know I often forget that in the midst of all the day-to-day stuff, but it certainly is true!
